With spring here and summer just around the corner, I was craving a refresh on our front porch, but wanted to do so without breaking the bank! I stopped into Target and came across some of the prettiest, elevated, and most affordable outdoor finds that have completely transformed our front porch for the season—you can shop them here!
Trees, plants, and flowers are often the first things we think of when it comes to spring and summer, especially in terms of outdoor spaces. Over the last few years, I have made the switch to faux plants, trees, and flowers, and it has been a game-changer. I love the no-fuss, no-maintenance, high-end look, and the fact that I can continue to use these styles season after season, year after year. My biggest tip for mastering a high-end look and feel is to layer various types amongst each other. Use different heights, styles, and even colors to create natural dimension and texture. Don’t forget to utilize tabletops to display smaller arrangements as well—they may be small, but they still make an impact.
Textiles are often skipped over when it comes to outdoor living spaces, but truthfully, they are the styles that bring a space together fully. Adding waterproof or durable rugs, pillows, and blankets are all beautiful and easy ways to add texture, warmth, and softness to your space. My favorite part of patio season is the cozy nights on the porch or by the fireplace, and adding textiles will only make your space even cozier. I grabbed these beautiful outdoor rugs for layering, and these gorgeous throw pillows for the perfect neutral look. Pro tip—if you love a pillow but it isn’t waterproof or intended for outdoors, you can use it still on a covered space or spray it with this protectant!
Finalize your outdoor space with decorative accents. Some of my favorite accents are these gorgeous cast aluminum lanterns! They come in four sizes and two finishes, and I couldn’t love them more. They were a top seller last summer and proved to be a favorite of mine year-round. Affordable, heavy, and no glass to worry about!
